Denier - Boleslaus II the Pious

Obverse description	Central field dominated by a plain cross with globules in each angle, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The border is decorated with a continuous ring of alternating crosses and pellets or ornamental devices, typical of early Bohemian hammered coinage. The overall design is executed in a primitive yet bold relief characteristic of late 10th-century Central European deniers.
