Reverse description Central field enclosed within a raised inner circle displays a bold voided cross with pellets or globules at each arm-tip, with two additional pellets placed in the lower angles of the cross, creating a distinctive decorative pattern. The surrounding circumferential legend reads PRAGA CIVITAS in irregular and partially retrograde Latin capitals, distributed between the inner circle and the outer toothed border. The cross type reflects the ecclesiastical and Carolingian monetary traditions adopted by the Prague mint, underscoring Boleslav II's Christian rulership. The hammered fabric gives the relief an uneven but vigorous character consistent with late tenth-century Bohemian deniers.
