| Obverse description | Central field depicts a stylized facing bust or hand of God motif rendered in crude hammered relief, flanked by pellets or small ornamental elements. A triple-line or comb-like vertical symbol dominates the centre, possibly representing a sceptre or ecclesiastical device, with small triangular or wedge-shaped ornaments on either side. The surrounding legend reads BOLESLAVS DVX in degenerate Latin characters distributed around the circumference. The overall style is characteristic of Bohemian early medieval coinage, with irregular flan and naively executed design elements typical of late tenth-century hammered silver issues. |
