| Obverse description | Central field depicts a frontal standing figure, identified as Duke Boleslaus II, robed in long draped garments and holding a sword or sceptre in each hand, rendered in the schematic Romanesque style typical of late 10th-century Bohemian coinage. The figure is enclosed within a plain inner circle.
