Obverse description Stylized chapel or church facade rendered in a primitive Romanesque manner, depicted as a triangular gabled structure with a small cross at the apex and a circular window or arch in the centre. The design is formed by bold, deeply struck geometric elements characteristic of early Bohemian coinage. The Latin legend BOLEZLAV DVX is incorporated around or within the architectural motif, identifying the issuer as Duke Boleslaus. The entire design is set within an irregularly shaped flan with a beaded or toothed border.
