Obverse description Full-length frontal effigy of Duke Bernard II standing in the field, holding a raised sword in his right hand and a pennoned lance or flag in his left, rendered in the flat, stylized manner characteristic of early 13th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced coinage. The figure is depicted with schematic drapery and without inscription. The design is contained within a beaded or rope-pattern inner border on the irregularly shaped flan.

Reverse description Architectural motif depicting a crenellated city wall with a central tower rising above the battlements, flanked on either side by a globule or ball ornament in the field. The wall is rendered in a schematic, flat style typical of Carinthian medieval hammered coinage, with horizontal courses suggested by incised lines. A small globule or pellet appears below the central structure, all contained within a plain or beaded border on the irregular flan.
