Reverse description A quadruped, identified in the numismatic literature as a panther (or possibly a griffin variant), depicted in profile walking to the right, with an elongated, prominently curved tail arching over its body. The animal's head is rendered schematically with visible eye pellet, and its body is shown in a dynamic striding posture with legs fully extended. Decorative pellets or annulets appear in the field. The design is enclosed within a serrated or crenellated border, consistent with other issues of the Béla IV coinage series.
