Obverse description Densely composed pseudo-Kufic design filling the entire field, imitating Arabic script in a purely decorative, non-legible arrangement characteristic of 12th-century Hungarian royal coinage influenced by Byzantine and Islamic artistic traditions. The intricate interlocking letterforms, pellets, and foliate motifs are arranged symmetrically across the flan, topped by a cross or crescent-like element at the apex. The overall composition is enclosed within a beaded border. This type of pseudo-inscriptional ornament was widely employed on the deniers of Béla III, reflecting his court's exposure to Byzantine culture during his youth at Constantinople.

Reverse description Central field occupied by a stylized, abstract foliate or cross-based motif composed of curved and pointed elements radiating from the center, enclosed within a plain raised inner circle. The surrounding flat area between the inner circle and the irregular outer rim is largely undecorated and shows the characteristic rough, hammered surface typical of 12th-century Hungarian bracteate-influenced deniers. The design is symmetrical and highly schematic, bearing no legible inscription, consistent with the anonymous coinage style of Béla III.
