Reverse description Central field depicts a highly stylized representation of the Tower of David, rendered as a crenellated tower or donjon with three merlons visible above a horizontal base, all enclosed within a raised inner beaded circle. The architectural motif is boldly struck and serves as the principal type identifying this issue. The surrounding border carries the circular Latin legend + DE IERVSALEM, identifying the mint city of Jerusalem, with individual letters separated by small stops. The irregular flan and variable die alignment are consistent with hand-hammered Crusader billon coinage of the mid-twelfth century.
