Reverse description A short cross pattée centered within a beaded inner circle, dividing the field into four quarters, each containing a distinct symbol: three fleurs-de-lis and one scallop shell, the latter serving as a heraldic emblem associating the issue with the seigneurial authority of the Lords of Bourbon. The cross arms are broad and squared at the terminals in the pattée fashion typical of 13th-century French feudal deniers. The circular legend DE SILVINIACO runs between the beaded inner circle and the irregular coin edge, identifying the priory of Souvigny as the issuing authority.
