Reverse description A plain cross pattée in high relief occupies the central field, its four arms extending nearly to the inner beaded circle. A small pellet is placed in the lower field immediately beneath the cross, serving as a die-variety distinguishing mark. The surrounding legend is separated from the central motif by a beaded circle, with the inscription running clockwise in capital letters of medieval ecclesiastical style typical of Lyonnais feudal coinage.
