Obverse description Within a plain inner circle, a standing bishop figure depicted in low relief, rendered in the primitive Romanesque style characteristic of 12th–13th century episcopal deniers. The figure holds a crozier to the left, with his mitre visible to the right. A letter M appears in the right field, likely serving as a mint or episcopal initial. The overall composition is enclosed within a raised border of irregular form, consistent with hand-hammered coinage of the period.
