Obverse description Frontal bust of a crowned king enthroned, depicted in a schematic, Romanesque style characteristic of early 13th-century Hungarian coinage. The figure is flanked on either side by smaller standing attendant figures or sceptre-like objects. Three pellets are visible at the base of the royal bust. A crude inscription runs along the lower portion of the field beneath the central figure.

Reverse description A stylized lion passant to the left, rendered in the Romanesque manner with a ribbed or striated body, set within a plain inner circle. The device is surrounded by a beaded inner border and an outer legend band composed of a largely illegible or decorative inscription, all enclosed within a further beaded outer rim.
