Obverse description Central tower surmounted by a crown or finial, flanked on each side by a smaller square turret with lateral projections, the entire architectural composition resting upon a semicircular arch supported by a beaded baseline. A small pellet or annulet appears in the field below the arch. The design is enclosed within a plain inner circle and a raised outer rim, executed in the flat, stylized Romanesque manner typical of early Hungarian hammered bracteate-influenced deniers.
