Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a rampant eagle displayed facing left occupies the central field, rendered in the crude but vigorous style characteristic of medieval Austrian hammered coinage. A beaded border frames the inner circle, with the surrounding field bearing the circular Latin legend. The design reflects the heraldic tradition of the Counts of Görz, whose eagle device served as their dynastic emblem.
