Obverse description A long double cross occupies the central field, its arms extending to the coin's edge and dividing the field into four quadrants, each containing a mintmark or privy mark. A small patriarchal cross appears at the center intersection. The circular legend surrounding the cross reads in Latin, identifying the coin as the money of Albert, King of Hungary. The lettering is rendered in Gothic characters typical of mid-15th-century Hungarian royal coinage.
