| Obverse description | Stylized helmeted bust of the ruler facing left, rendered in the characteristic Crusader epigraphic tradition, with a conical helmet bearing beaded ornamental detail, all within a beaded inner circle. A six-pointed star appears in the upper left field and a crescent in the upper right field flanking the effigy. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads +.R.V.P.I.N:V:Z, a contracted reference to the name of Raymond Roupen. The portrait is executed in a bold, schematic style typical of the Antiochene billon coinage of the early thirteenth century. |

| Reverse description | A boldly struck cross pattée with flared terminals divides the reverse field into four quarters; the upper right quarter bears a crescent, a recurrent symbol on Crusader coinage of Antioch, while small ornamental pellets or devices appear at or near the cross terminals. The whole is contained within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads +AMTIIOCIIIA, a phonetic epigraphic rendering of Antiochia characteristic of the local Crusader die-cutting tradition. |
