| Reverse description | A bold cross pattée occupies the central field, with flared terminals extending toward a beaded inner circle that separates the cross from the surrounding legend. An inward-facing crescent is placed within the upper right quadrant of the cross, a distinctive diagnostic feature of Class L. Additional crescents appear in the lower quadrants as seen in the image, consistent with Metcalf's classification. The Latin circumscription + A•ITIOCHIA, identifying Antioch, runs within the outer field, enclosed between the beaded circle and the coin's irregular rim. |
