Obverse description Helmeted bust of Bohemond III facing left, depicted in chain mail armour in the Crusader military style. A crescent symbol appears to the left of the bust and a star to the right in the field. The peripheral legend reads ✠ BOAMVNDVS in Latin characters, partially visible around the circumference of the irregularly struck flan. The overall style is characteristic of the Classe C coinage of the Antiochene series, distinguished by its relatively defined facial features and military attire.
