Obverse description Central field dominated by a bold double cross with a smaller cross superimposed at its base, the whole set within a circular legend. Small pellets adorn the angles of the cross. The surrounding legend reads +MONETA BUDEnSI, identifying the coin as money of Buda, rendered in Gothic Latin characters on a hammered flan with irregular edges typical of medieval Hungarian coinage.
