| Obverse description | Central cross pattée dividing the field into four quarters, each containing a pellet or decorative element, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A circular legend reading S. PETRVS surrounds the design, invoking Saint Peter, the patron of the bishopric. The lettering is rendered in crude Romanesque majuscules characteristic of 11th–12th century episcopal hammered coinage.
