Obverse description A mounted warrior in profile facing right, depicted on horseback in a dynamic pose, rendered in the crude but vigorous style typical of medieval Russian hammered coinage. The rider appears armed, with the horse shown in full stride. A Cyrillic legend surrounds the central device in the field, partially visible along the irregular flan edges. The design is characteristic of the Moscow denga coinage tradition, struck on a thin, irregularly shaped silver planchet.
