Reverse description Within a beaded circular border, a pseudo-Arabic inscription occupying the full field, rendered as an imitation of Tatar-Arabic lettering in the style inherited from the Golden Horde monetary tradition. The characters, while visually derived from Arabic script, are non-legible and decorative in nature, reflecting the political and cultural conventions of Muscovite coinage of the early 15th century. The coin is struck on an irregular, flan typical of hammered wire-money production.
