Obverse description A mounted warrior figure depicted in profile to the right occupies the central field, shown riding a horse in a dynamic pose typical of late medieval Russian hammered coinage. The rider appears to brandish an object, rendered in a bold, stylized manner characteristic of early Moscow dengas. The design is enclosed within a beaded or linear inner border, with the irregular flan edge creating an uneven periphery. The relief is robust but somewhat crude, reflecting the hand-struck production technique of the period.
