Reverse description A bird in flight depicted facing left, rendered in bold low relief with a curved body and stylized wing and tail feathers. Several pellets are scattered about the field surrounding the bird, a decorative convention common to early Muscovite denga coinage of the late 14th and early 15th centuries. The flan is irregular in outline, consistent with hand-cut wire-money planchets of the period.
