| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Cyrillic inscription arranged in horizontal registers within a beaded inner circle, itself surrounded by a beaded outer border. The legend reads the titles and name of Grand Prince Vasily, executed in the characteristic early-fifteenth-century Muscovite wire-money script. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of hand-struck wire coinage of the period. |
