Obverse description Central field bears a Cyrillic inscription arranged in multiple lines, surrounded by a border of pellets. A circular Cyrillic legend runs along the periphery of the flan. The inscription and legend are known to exist in multiple lettering variations. The overall style is characteristic of early Moscow hammered coinage, with crude but purposeful execution.
