| Reverse description | A multi-line Cyrillic inscription arranged across the field, reading the titles of the issuing prince, enclosed within a linear or rope-style border. The legend is rendered in the early Muscovite Cyrillic script typical of late 14th- to early 15th-century Russian coinage, with letters distributed across several lines in a somewhat irregular layout due to the hand-struck flan. The style and execution are consistent with wire money coinage of Vasily I Dmitriyevich of Moscow. The flan edges are irregular and clipped, as is standard for this series. |
