| Obverse description | Imitation of a Tochtamysh (Tokhtamysh) Khan coinage type, featuring pseudo-Arabic or degenerate Arabic script in the central field arranged in multiple lines, characteristic of Russian princely imitations of Golden Horde coinage. A Cyrillic legend encircles the central design in the surrounding border, reading as the stamp of the Grand Duke. The overall composition closely follows the layout of contemporary Tatar dangs, with the script elements rendered in a stylised, partially illegible manner by a local die-cutter unfamiliar with the Arabic originals. |
