Obverse description A mounted warrior depicted in right-facing profile astride a galloping horse, the rider raising a sabre aloft in the right hand in a striking pose. The figure is rendered in the schematic, highly stylised manner characteristic of early Muscovite wire money, with the horse's legs extended in full gallop. The design occupies the entire irregular flan, with no border or legend present on this face. The relief is bold given the small module, consistent with hand-hammered die production of the period.
