| Obverse description | Imitation of a Tatar dirham bearing the Ryazan tamgha (dynastic symbol) as a countermark, applied prominently in the central field. The tamgha is depicted with characteristic tear-shaped or drop-form nose element, a distinguishing feature of this Ryazan countermark variety. The surrounding field retains fragmentary pseudo-Arabic legends and decorative devices inherited from the original dirham prototype. The flan is irregular and typical of hand-struck medieval Russian silver coinage of the early 15th century. |
