Obverse description Frontal effigy of Dovmont (Daumantas), Prince of Pskov, depicted face-on in a stylized, flat relief characteristic of medieval Russian hammered coinage. The figure bears a sword laid over the right shoulder, rendered in a schematic manner typical of Pskovian die-cutting of the late 15th century. The design occupies the irregular flan with no defined border or exergue.
