Obverse description A displayed eagle with spread wings and head turned sinister occupies the central field within a plain inner circle. The eagle's plumage is rendered in fine detail with incised feathering across the breast and wings, characteristic of the Aquileian patriarchal coinage tradition. The bird's talons are visible at the base of the design. Surrounding the inner circle, a beaded border frames the outer legend. The overall style reflects the bold, schematic engraving typical of late 14th-century northern Italian hammered silver coinage.
