Reverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a voided cross divides the field into four quadrants. Twelve pellets are distributed around the cross in a precise heraldic arrangement: one pellet at each of the four arm terminals and two pellets in each of the four corners between the arms. The surrounding legend in Gothic uncial script reads the issuer's name and runs clockwise between the inner circle and the coin's outer rim. The strike is typical of hammered billon coinage of the Lombard signorie, showing some weakness at the edges.
