Obverse description Laureate head of Jupiter facing right, rendered with deeply engraved flowing hair and a full beard, characteristic of the Roman Hellenistic style. The laurel wreath is depicted with pronounced relief, its ties visible behind the neck. The portrait exhibits a strong, idealised physiognomy with a prominent brow and aquiline nose. The field is plain and the design is anepigraphic, with no inscription on this side.
