Reverse description Jupiter, enthroned and facing left, is depicted seated within a distyle temple representing the Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus on the Capitoline Hill in Rome. The god holds a thunderbolt in his extended right hand and a long sceptre in his left. The temple's pediment is decorated with a wreath, and the two columns of the facade frame the enthroned deity. The reverse legend is distributed around the field, identifying the deity and his celebrated Capitoline cult. A beaded border frames the composition.
