| Obverse description | Bare head of Bonus Eventus facing right, rendered in fine relief with carefully articulated hair swept back in layered waves and bound by a wreath or diadem. The bust is truncated at the shoulder, with the portrait displaying the idealized yet naturalistic style characteristic of late Julio-Claudian and Year of the Four Emperors coinage. The encircling legend BONI EVENTVS reads around the field, divided on either side of the portrait. The flan is slightly irregular in form, consistent with hand-struck production of the period. |
