| Obverse description | Laureate head of Vespasian facing left, rendered in high relief with naturalistic portraiture typical of Flavian imperial coinage. The emperor's features are boldly modelled, displaying a strong jaw and characteristic physiognomy. The encircling legend is positioned along the coin's periphery in neat Latin capitals. The flan shows the irregular edges characteristic of hammered silver coinage of the period. Iridescent toning is visible across the silver surface. |
