Obverse description Laureate head of Vespasian facing right, rendered in high relief with naturalistic portraiture typical of early Flavian coinage. The emperor's features are depicted with characteristic realism: a broad forehead, strong jaw, and short-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath. The encircling legend IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG runs along the outer border in incuse Latin capitals. The flan is irregular in shape, consistent with hand-struck silver coinage of the Rome Mint circa AD 70.
