| Obverse description | Laureate draped bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in high relief in the confident Roman imperial style. The emperor's features are firmly modelled, with a strong jaw and close-cropped hair beneath a radiant laurel wreath. A paludamentum (military cloak) is visible at the truncation of the shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The flan is slightly irregular and shows typical hammered fabric with natural surface wear consistent with circulation. |
