Obverse description Laureate head of Titus facing right, with short curly hair and a slight beard rendered in fine detail characteristic of Flavian portraiture. The effigy displays a naturalistic, robust facial profile with a strong jawline. The surrounding legend reads IMP TITVS CAES VESPASIAN AVG P M, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The coin is struck on an irregular flan with a slightly uneven border, typical of hammered Roman denarii of this period.
