| Obverse description | Laureate head of Titus as Caesar facing right, with curly hair rendered in fine detail and a ribbon tie visible at the nape of the neck. The portrait displays the characteristic Flavian physiognomy with a strong brow and firm jaw, executed in high relief typical of early Flavian die-cutting. The circumferential legend T CAESAR VESPASIANVS runs around the bust, reading from lower left to upper right. The flan is slightly irregular in shape, as is standard for hammered silver coinage of the period. The field shows natural wear consistent with circulation. |
