Obverse description Laureate head of Titus facing right, rendered with characteristic realistic portraiture typical of Flavian coinage. The bust is bare at the shoulder, with the laurel wreath rendered in fine detail across the brow. The encircling Latin legend reads T CAES IMP VESP CENS, identifying Titus in his capacity as Caesar, Imperator, and Censor under Vespasian. The flan is irregular in shape, as is characteristic of hand-struck Roman denarii of this period, with the portrait well-centred despite slight surface wear.
