Reverse description A complex figural scene depicting Sulla seated on a raised curule platform or sella curulis at center, with two kneeling figures flanking the platform — identified as Bocchus (king of Mauretania) to the left and Jugurtha to the right — in an act of submission. The composition commemorates the surrender of Jugurtha to Sulla in 106 BC. A Trajanic restoration legend encircles the entire scene within a beaded border, indicating this is a restitution coinage issued under Trajan reproducing an earlier Republican type. The reverse field is deeply engraved with multiple figures rendered in a narrative historical style.
