Reverse description The reverse presents three military standards of the Roman people arranged in the field: two aquilae (eagle standards) topped with triple circular discs on their staffs, flanking a central vexillum or legionary standard set upon a base, all rendered in bold relief characteristic of hammered coinage of the Galban period. Above the standards, a hand or wreath motif extends from the upper field, referencing the conferral of military honour. The legend SIGNA P R is partially visible along the right margin, identifying the standards as those of the Roman people. A dotted border runs along the coin's periphery.
