(Translation: From Neptune)
Reverse description A Roman warship (galley) shown sailing to the right, its oars extended and hull rendered with bold diagonal line-work conveying the strakes of the vessel; a large square sail is depicted furled on a mast amidships, and a helmsman or figure stands at the stern. A star appears in the upper left field, and a laurel branch extends from the left exergual area. The legend NASIDIVS is inscribed in the lower exergue in large capital letters, identifying the fleet commander Quintus Nasidius. The whole composition is framed by a beaded border, evoking the naval power of Sextus Pompeius in the western Mediterranean.
