Obverse description Victory personified standing left upon a globe, rendered in high relief in the hammered tradition. She extends her right hand forward bearing a wreath, symbolic of triumph, while her left hand holds a long palm frond. The figure is depicted in flowing drapery, and the encircling legend SALVS GENER HVMANI frames the design, proclaiming the salvation of the human race. The flan is irregular, characteristic of late Julio-Claudian and Year of the Four Emperors coinage.
