Obverse description Draped bust of Proserpina facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and adorned with poppy-heads, characteristic of her chthonic iconography. A variable control-symbol appears in the left field behind the bust. The obverse is anepigraphic, the design contained within a border of dots. The portrait is rendered in the refined late-Republican style, with fine engraving detail on the drapery and floral hair ornament.
