| Reverse description | Jupiter, depicted as a half-draped, mature male figure, seated right upon a throne. In his extended right hand he holds a thunderbolt, the principal divine attribute of the god, while his left hand grasps a long vertical sceptre. The composition follows the established Julio-Claudian and Flavian convention of enthroned Jupiter as an expression of imperial legitimacy and divine sanction.
