| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Nerva facing right, with aged, slightly lined facial features characteristic of his portrait type, rendered in the realist tradition of late Flavian–Nervan portraiture. The bust is draped, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The encircling legend reads IMP NERVA CAES AVG P M TR P II COS III P P in Latin capitals, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The portrait occupies the central field with strong relief, and the flan edges are slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck silver coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | The personification of Libertas depicted standing left, draped in flowing robes, holding a pileus (freedman's cap) in her extended right hand and a short sceptre slightly raised and angled to the right in her left hand. The figure is rendered in the classicising style typical of Nervan reverse types, conveying themes of restored civic freedom following the Domitianic reign. The reverse legend LIBERTAS PVBLICA is distributed in two words across the field flanking the figure. The composition is well-centred within the confines of the irregularly struck flan. |
